can you remember your first time?

28 years ago i was at the braintree drive in, wrapped in my blanky on top of our orange and brown van.
my mom and a bunch of other parents were complaining to the management because yellow submarine was supposed to be the SECOND feature, damnit!
20 minutes later the blue meanies went away, and 5 minutes after that it was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

i cried myself to sleep when ben got killed, and woke back up for the death star trench scene.

in about 9 hours i'll be sitting in the cinerama dome in hollywood. i don't have the blanky or the van anymore, but i bet if i look up i'll see them glowing in that dead jedi blue haze, forever watching over me. or maybe they'll just be there checking out the last star wars flick.
